3rd Russian-UK Raw Materials Dialogue

Organised jointly with IOM3 and St Petersburg Mining University, supported by DIT in Russia, the 3rd Raw Materials Dialogue will focus on mining finance.

At a time when investors are becoming increasingly vocal about the environmental, safety and social standards they expect from mining companies this promises to be a fascinating discussion.

Expect participation from Russian mining companies such as Polymetal, Russian Copper Company, Nordgold, as well as thought leaders from both countries.

On day two there are opportunities for UK companies to present their solutions in the roundtable sessions on energy saving and new technologies in mineral exploration and processing.

Supported by IOM3

The integral relationship between financial institutions and the raw materials and minerals extraction industries is explored further in this this third dialogue, with a focus on the opportunities for investment and collaboration in these sectors between both countries, and the associated technical, environmental and human challenges that must be addressed.

The event is free to attend and the Institute has a number of grants available to support members with transport and visa costs.

The event will include a Business Forum sponsored and organised by the Department of International Trade.

There will also be an Early Career Professionals’ day which will focus on team building between Russians and those from the UK, in addition to careers advice from leading business people from both countries.

Speakers will be announced in the coming months.

Who should attend?

The event is open to anyone with educational, professional or business interests in raw materials, mining or minerals; those looking for professional or business opportunities in Russia; or those looking to find out how these sectors operate in Russia.
