CSM Business Breakfast – Cornwall-Saxony Links

Camborne School of Mines (CSM) at the University of Exeter, Cornwall Campus would like to invite businesses to a series of breakfasts around new technology and innovation in the mining sector, in a relaxed breakfast atmosphere at each bi-monthly session a different theme will be explored. An opportunity for businesses already in the sector and non-mining sector to network with academics.

Theme - MIREU - Cornwall-Saxony Links

The aim of WP2 in the MIREU project is to create a sustainable network of EU mining and metallurgy regions and identify and engage with other regions. Part of this work is focused on the ‘twinning’ of regions with a strong mining heritage in the form of Cornwall & Saxony. The talks will focus on the links between Cornwall & Saxony and the networking being done between the regions and future opportunities.

We would like to invite you to the next CSM Business Breakfast on Friday 2nd October 2020 in a virtual format via Click Meetings.

We aim to still keep our sessions informal and informative.

The breakfasts may lead on to identifying opportunities for funding support and explore potential collaborations. The breakfasts would be suitable for the following businesses;

  • Mineral processing firms
  • Manufacture of special-purpose machinery
  • Equipment for mining
  • Consultancy companies
  • Tech based businesses with an interest in diversifying into mining
