Company Profile

iMin Solutions was founded in 2015 by Dr Will Goodall (MinAssist) and James Strongman (Petrolab), with a technology partnership with Zeiss Microscopy. The driving influence of iMin Solutions is to provide accessible mineralogy solutions for operations, with a focus on data integration and remote support to generate more value from an improved understanding of mineralogy drivers.

iMin Solutions provides tools to mineral processing operations to improve profitability through better use of processing data. In doing this iMin Solutions on facilitating on site personnel to make use of data through accessible expert support. This is achieved with the use advanced technologies to enable generation, communication and analysis of data in minerals processing operations.

iMin(Mineral) technology briefing

The iMin(Mineral) package was developed by Dr Will Goodall at MinAssist as a tool for minerals processing operations to effectively access routine mineralogical informationgenerated on-site. The tool has subsequently been developed through iMin Solutions toallow for more focused development and marketing.

The capability for mineralogical information to be available for key process streams within24-48 hours of sample collection greatly improves the applicability of information foroperational decision support and process optimisation. The availability of this informationhas always been constrained by lack of suitably rugged technology for site basedapplications and difficulty in sustaining suitably qualified mineralogists at remote sites.

Zeiss MINScanThe iMin(mineral) tool addresses these key roadblocks through use of the Zeiss ruggedizedMinSCAN automated mineralogy system and through a model of remote support, where experts are available to review data generated and provide detailed interpretation from a remote location.

iMin(Account) – Metallurgical and mineralogical accounting

Tailored cloud based metallurgical accounting software that provides basis for mineralogical accounting.

iMin(Analyse) – data integration for better decision making

Tools to utilise mineralogical data sets, along with other available datasets in the operation to build predictive algorithms for forecasting and reconciliation of plant performance.
