A Freelance Consultant with over thirty years experience working in the Renewable Energy, Mining and Geotechnical Engineering sectors, Chris has had direct involvement in numerous large and intermediate scale energy and mineral extraction projects.

He has undertaken regular work for many of the major renewables developers and energy companies, and he also works on a sub-contract basis for various major consultancies, as well as providing technical support to several Community Interest Companies.

His involvement ranges from the design and permitting of projects, through technical Due Diligence and project evaluation and procurement, to the development of operational procedures and safe systems of work.

Chris also has over fifteen years experience in the development and application of GIS as a tool for the identification, assessment and development of sites for renewable energy and minerals extraction projects, and for the mapping and analysis of large and complex technical and environmental data sets, including processing, analysis and 3D presentation of high definition Digital Terrain Models (LIDAR).

On graduating from CSM in 1984, with an Honours Degree in Mining, Chris was employed for three years as a Research Assistant on the HDR Geothermal Energy Project, and then worked for three years for GeoScience Ltd, before becoming self employed in 1990.
