Hear from three different women engineers working and living in Cornwall, sharing their career journeys and experiences as part of the International Women in Engineering Day 2024 celebrations. The event is to be held on 19th June 2024 6pm - 8pm at New County Hall Truro.
Rachel Hayden will talk about her career journey from working in contracting, client and consultancy organisations on a range of projects across the Civils sector (utilities, nuclear, structures and infrastructure).
Anna Furmaniak will share her experiences in the technical design of structures including retaining wall, highway infrastructure and bridges.
Emma Blakesley will reflect on her journey from geology to engineering and talk about her experiences working in the geotechnical site investigations and laboratory environments. She will also share her experiences moving into the Highways Asset Incident Management team.
