IDSAI – Artificial Intelligence for Geological Modelling and Mapping

An Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence conference. Rapid developments in AI and data science are unlocking new opportunities for how we go about modelling and mapping the Earth. This timely conference will bring together international experts in geoscientific applications of statistics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to share perspectives and discuss how we can maximise the benefit of these technologies in the future of geological modelling and mapping.

Confirmed speakers:

  • Prof Florian Wellmann, Chair of Computational Geoscience, Geothermics and Reservoir Geophysics at RWTH Aachen University – Germany
  • Dr Mark Lindsay, Science Leader in 4D Minerals at CSIRO & Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia – Australia
  • Dr Kristine Asch, Head of Geological Information Systems and Maps, BGR – Germany
  • Prof Guillaume Caumon, Professor of geomodelling at Nancy School of Geology and GeoRessources, Université de Lorraine – France
  • Dr Charlie Kirkwood, Research Fellow at the University of Exeter’s Institute for Data Science and AI – UK.

Further speakers will be confirmed in due course – we aim for this to be a historic meeting of minds.
