Frederick Sherrell Ltd is an independent engineering geology and geo-environmental consultancy based in Southwest England. In many parts of the region there is a legacy of past mining mainly for metalliferous ores such as tin, copper, arsenic and lead. Mining hazards including ground subsidence or contaminated land can sometimes cause problems for existing properties or new development sites.
Frederick Sherrell Ltd holds a large database of historical mining information to assist with the research and investigation of old mine workings in Devon and Cornwall. We can undertake individual property mine searches for conveyancing, or more detailed research and ground investigations of larger sites affected by old mine workings.
