In 2014 the Trustees of the Camborne School of Mines Trust, commissioned Piran Mining Research Ltd (PMR) to undertake a study into graduate employment in the mining and mineral-related industries. The Trust planned to use the study to not only target its fund raising efforts, but also to identify key investment areas to enable Camborne School of Mines to retain its world-class status.

This Thursday 26 January, Paul Burton, Managing Director of PMR, will present the findings of the study, which was published at the beginning of 2016. The study involved projections of the level of mining, construction and petrochemical activity over the next ten years with an assessment of the numbers and type of graduates required to sustain those levels together with a review of the ability of educational institutions to fulfil that demand; particular attention being given to Camborne School of Mines

The talk will take place in the Exchange Lecture Theatre at the University of Exeter Penryn Campus at 6pm. If you would like to attend, please contact Claire Yelland in advance.
