Geothermal Engineering Ltd (GEL) was established in 2008 to develop the geothermal resources beneath our feet, no matter where in the world, for low carbon electricity, heating and cooling.
The GEL team is a group of likeminded individuals who care about the environment and are dedicated to limiting climate change through geothermal innovation. We are a cohesive mix of specialist geologists, engineers and community engagement personnel, focused on delivering sustainable power and heat that benefits both local and global communities.
The flagship project for the company is the United Downs deep geothermal site in Cornwall, which will produce the UK’s first geothermal power in 2024.
The company acts primarily as a developer and operator of geothermal projects but also offers consultancy services to entities that are considering using the geothermal resource for heating and cooling.
