Company Profile
Plymouth University School of Geography, Earth & Environmental Science is a higher education institution in the UK. Within the Biochemical Research Centre, we have extensive research experience in a number of relevant fields, including environmental analytical chemistry, geochemistry as well as biogeochemistry. Research areas relate to the mining industry in the South West UK and extend from pollution risk assessment, source apportionment, mineralogy and geochemical transformation of potentially toxic elements on mine sites to pathways (fluvial and aeolian) and receptors (terrestrial, biological, aquatic) of pollution, as well as toxicology and remediation.
We specialise in:
- Environmental analytical chemistry, in accredited laboratory facilities
- Assessment and monitoring of contamination related to mine sites
- Development of remediation strategies
