Following the launch of the Geo-Resources Strategic Sector Strengthening project, which will support and contribute to the provisioning of the geo-resources sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, the first project Steering Group meeting has taken place.

The University of Exeter has been commissioned to deliver the project with delivery partner Cornish Chamber of
Mines and Minerals and strategic partner Cornwall Mining Alliance. This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
