The Geo-Resources Strategic Sector Strengthening project, which is a partnership between the Cornish Chamber of Mines and Minerals, Cornwall Mining Alliance, and University of Exeter, is providing funding support to businesses to attend the Mine Water Energy Symposium 2024 on the 24th - 25th April 2024.

For businesses successful in receiving funding, the project will purchase a conference ticket for one representative from your business and provide a travel and accommodation subsidy up to £1,000. This support is directed towards junior staff to provide them with the experience and to strengthen the Geo-Resources workforce, as well as sole traders, SMEs, and consultants.

This project has received £960k from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK Government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.
