The Cornwall Mining Alliance was represented at two recent marketing events in Cornwall and Chile.

CMA members attended the Cornwall Business Fair at the Eden Project, run by Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, to network with local businesses and delegates from organisations across the region. The CMA was represented by EGS Energy Ltd, Cornwall Consultants Ltd, SeaDog IT and the University of Exeter. Over 2,400 visitors attended the event to share knowledge and improve business connections in the South West. This was the first unveiling of the CMA brand on home turf and we are delighted that it was enthusiastically received.

The CMA also shared a stand with Camborne School of Mines (CSM) in the UK Pavilion at Expomin 2016 – Latin America’s largest mining exhibition held in Santiago and promoted by UKTI. CSM reported much interest in the CMA and almost ran out of our promotional material as a result! Other members of the CMA present included IMin Solutions and Petrolab.

Next up – Sustainable Minerals 2016 on 22 – 24 June, hosted by CMA member MEI. Themes this year include clean technology, recycling, energy recovery, carbon emissions control, waste processing and environmental impact assessment. This international symposium is held in Falmouth and is well attended by leading specialists from across the globe…..and some familiar local experts.
